DescriptionRecombinant Protein expressed in E. coli; Nanog is a transcription factor that is critical for maintaining embryonic stem (ES) cell pluripotency and preventing differentiation to germ layers and mature cell lineages. The Nanog protein contains a conserved DNA-binding homeobox domain (AA 98-154). When transfected together with other key pluripotent factors such as OCT4 (Pou5F1) and SOX2, Nanog has been used to enhance the reprogramming of somatic cells into induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells.

PropertiesHuman proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
